THE VAQUERO STORY

Established in 2001, Vaquero occupies 525 acres of what was once the Hunt brothers’ Circle T Ranch in Westlake, Texas. Discovery Land Company purchased the ranch and developed it into an intimate, utterly private community.

The secluded property features rolling hills, a 33,000 square-foot Club House and golf course designed by Tom Fazio.

Westlake is one of the most sought-after communities for residents, businesses, and visitors alike. It is also home to Westlake Academy, which is built on the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum which stresses inductive learning and was named #37 in the nation by U.S. News & World Reports.

Vaquero is located 15 minutes from the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport and offers ample shopping and dining in the neighboring towns of Southlake, Trophy Club and Roanoke.

EXPANDING THE GOOD

In 2018, Vaquero completed a $19.7 million-dollar renovation to enhance the Club. The new Ranch House offers a relaxed, playful amenity with pavilions, fireplaces, an outdoor bar and a Texas smoker-rotisserie.

They expanded the main Club House (creating more room for fitness), lounge areas (including multiple TVs in the Men’s Lounge for the best in sports viewing), spa and retail areas. The dining room and bar will also be expanded and updated.

The new one-of- a-kind practice area offers all types of grass and provide golfers with the opportunity to practice every shot imaginable.

THE VAQUERO CLUBHOUSE

For members, the Vaquero Clubhouse is a second home. This luxurious, yet comfortable setting is where members live, work and play. You can work out in the morning, have lunch at the Grill and then bring friends to the club for a leisurely evening. Take your kids fishing at Fish Camp – and see the look on your child’s face the first time he catches his own fish.
